The new Bianchi Arcadex: gravel discovery

Born for adventure. Bianchi presents the new Arcadex, the Italian brand’s model designed for adventure gravel cycling and bikepacking, now even more versatile and capable of meeting the needs of those riders who want to push beyond their comfort zone.

With the Arcadex, Bianchi completes its offerings for gravel enthusiasts. Alongside the Impulso, the fast gravel model for those who seek performance and speed even on dirt trails, the new Arcadex meets the needs of free spirits, who seek an answer to their desire for off-road adventure.

DEDICATED FRAME

The carbon fiber frame with endurance geometry provides all the comfort needed to fully experience long-distance adventures without sacrificing performance.

Arcadex Pro is spec’d with an internal cable routing cockpit while the Comp version features a semi-internal cable routing system. Both models are also upgradeable with Bianchi’s fully-integrated monocoque carbon fibre handlebar, developed by Reparto Corse.

With its The Arcadex has clearance for up to 700c x 50mm tyres. It can also be run with clip-on fenders/mudguards, when using 45mm tyres. The bicycle is rated for ASTM 2 usage on off-road surfaces and all specifications feature a Mitora 149 H1 saddle to provide the all-day comfort you need for multi-day escapes.

OPTIMIZED FOR ADVENTURE

When developing the new Arcadex, Bianchi listened to the specific requests and needs of bikepackers and cyclotourists in order to design solutions that simplify and enhance their respective experiences.

The new main feature is the IFS (Internal Frame Storage) module, which provides the rider with extra space created inside the down tube where small items can be stored. Inside the IFS module, items can be stored using the protective case by Velomann, which has been specially designed to prevent them from scattering inside the compartment, rattling around, or causing scratches.

The Arcadex can be configured with the new Bianchi kit consisting of four bags (100 percent nylon) designed to give you different support options for your travels.

The kit consists of:

  • Orma 01: to be placed on the horizontal tube (1-liter capacity; water resistant)
  • Orma 03: to be installed inside the frame diamond, at the front (3-liter capacity; waterproof)
  • Orma 07: designed to be attached under the saddle (7-liter capacity; waterproof)
  • Orma 09: perfect for mounting on the handlebars (capacity 9-liters; waterproof)

Orma bags are designed and manufactured in Italy by Bianchi and can also be purchased individually from Bianchi’s authorized sales network.

The thru-axle on the rear wheel houses a small 4, 5 and 6 mm Allen wrench, which comes in handy in case of mishaps along the way or for quick adjustments. Several mounting options have been designed into the Arcadex frame and fork to mount bottle cages, bags, and other accessories.

THE SPECS: A SUSPENSION FORK OPTION

The new Arcadex comes in two versions, Pro and Comp.

The Arcadex Pro comes equipped with durable Velomann Terbium 30 carbon fiber wheels, ready to take on any adventure, and offers a Rockshox Rudy XPLR suspension fork with 30mm of travel for handling rougher terrain.
