Becoming a Bianchi Dealer in Canada?!?!

    Hello Forum,

I not sure if this is the place to post this .. but I'm hoping someone will be able to send me in the right direction.

I'm a bicyle retailer in Canada and have been trying to become a Bianchi dealer, but haven't been able to get anywhere.  There isn't a Canadian distributor for Bianchi bicycles in Canada, so I've tried contacting Bianchi USA numerous times. I have left messages in voice mail boxes numerous times asking for someone to contact me so that I can become a Bianchi dealer, but not once have I ever recieved a response. Everytime I do call, the switchboard operator forwards me to someone who can help me .. but I always get the same thing .. voice mail.

Can someone tell me how a Canadian retailer can become a Bianchi Dealer? .. Is it even possible?

    Thanks

Re: Becoming a Bianchi Dealer in Canada?!?!

According to the Cycleurope website the main distributor for Bianchi in Canada is:

    Bianchi USA Inc.
    21325A Cabot Boulevard
    94545 Hayward
    California
    USA
    Tel: +1 510 264 1001
    Fax: +1 510 856 0338

which also happens to be one of the CE Group Companies, as well as Canada's main distributor.
So it appears there is the facility to become a Canadian Bianchi dealer - if they can sort out their own system. It might be worth talking to some of the other CE group companies, eg. Cycleurope United Kingdom - just to see if they can give you some guidance.

Re: Becoming a Bianchi Dealer in Canada?!?!

How about contacting the group head office instead at
    Cycleurope AB
    Norrlandsgatan 16, 4th floor
    SE-111 43 Stockholm
    Sweden
    Phone: +46 8 54504480
    Fax: +46 8 54504481
and letting them know about the problems that you're having. Doesn't sound like they're practicing the 'Distribution Strategy' that they are preaching on the website!

Re: Becoming a Bianchi Dealer in Canada?!?!

I bought my 2005 1885 as new old stock from what he claimed was the last Bianchi dealer in Canada in 2006. The closest dealer I have here in London, Ont. is in Buffalo NY.

I also have tried to contact Bianchi USA and they have been most helpfull on some assessory sales, but no Canadian contacts available to date that I know of.

The former dealer I dealt with gave it up, as he said, because there was no longer a Canadian support network and there was no interest (@ that time) by BianchiUSA to continue sales/ customer support in Canada.

I wish you luck in your quest, but todate I am not aware of any change of mind on this on BianchiUSA's part.

With a very well equipt bike shop in the basement, I can do without them, but I'm sure that others not that lucky or capable (been building bikes for the last 50yrs) could use some factory/dealer support here.

    Again good luck;

    Hoek, London, ON. Canada.

Guys, you are in luck.  Bonjea Distribution is the official distributor for Bianchi in Canada now.  The dealer network has already started up.  The contact person for Bonjea is Kevin Werre, and he can be reached at:

    (306)662-2767 or kevin@bonjea.com

You can also try me (Jason, the owner) at (306)409-0057 or jason@bonjea.com

We have a central distribution point in Guelph, Ontario and another one in western Canada in southern Saskatchewan.

    We've got T-Cubes, 928 SL's, 1995's, Via Nirones, C2C's and others.

    Cheers.

Re: Becoming a Bianchi Dealer in Canada?!?!

Great to hear that we have Can. rep. again. Can we order through you for parts, or are we still dealer bound? If we have to go through the dealer, any in/close to London yet?

    Good luck with your new venture;

    Hoek.
