    Hi Everyone

I have just bought my 1st Road Bike and it had to be a Bianchi 'cos I just love the colour. It's a Via Nirone 10 speed with Leloce shifters and its my 60th birthday present to myself.. I have just taken it out for the 1st time revisiting the hills I used to struggle up on my old bike, and boy is there a difference!

Looking forward to meeting all you guys out on the road.

Here's to safe riding in 2008.

    Hi everybody!

I'm originally from Italy (Bergamo, just a few miles from the Bianchi factory!) but have been living and working in London for 7 years.

I ride a 928 Ultegra SL, and am loving it!

    Hi Parajba,

I have the same bikeCool [H]. I had to order it especially from Italy as I wanted Celeste not Red. I note with interest that you have changed the wheels for Fulcrum and have Conti tyres. What was wrong with the Mavic? I changed my tyres to Conti GP4000S. Great tyres.Big Smile [:D]

Re: Where are you from and what Bianchi do you own??

    Hi Pirateman,

Yes it's a pretty bike, congratulations! :-) It's a very stiff but still comfy bike.

I had the wheels replaced when I purchased the bike, they were on offer...I ended up paying 'only' an extra £399 for the Racing 1, not too bad I reckon...so was definitely a good deal for having class Record hubs and extra stifness.

Why did I do it? I wanted very hard wheels (and because they look awesome ;-))...

I also replaced the seatpost and saddle...

Pity it's raining a lot in these days (London)...cannot go out cycling...
